Scottsdale Sights, Sounds and Hotels
Taliesin West is the revolutionary Modernist architect Frank Lloyd Wright architectural masterpiece. In 1937 he chose 600 acres in the Sonoran Desert for his winter home and to experiment with ideas. Wright experimented with organic architecture so that the creation would blend in with its environment, and the complex of buildings seem to grow out of the desert, creating a spectacular visual display. A National Historic Landmark, his favourite creation is now an architectural school and there are some interesting tours on offer of which some of the highlights are Wright's previous office, a Cabaret Theatre and the Pavilion Theatre.
Scottsdale's Taliesin West is a truly exceptional sight and worth a visit whilst enjoying Scottsdale. The welcoming Scottsdale Hotels will enure your comfort and peace of mind during your stay.
